Colors and shapes have meanings and feelings attached to them. Research the visibility, retention, preference, and association traits of different colors and shapes. Recognize that colors often have substantially different significance and meaning in certain countries and cultures.
Research data is available on color and shape psychology. Know your target market and the qualities of your business that you want to emphasize. This allows you to choose appropriate colors and shapes for your logo, letterhead, business cards, signs, packaging, uniforms, and products.
